Fanny Bay Trading Co. is located on the Ocean side route highway in Fanny Bay which is located between Nanaimo and Courtenay, and is just minutes away from the Denman Island Ferry terminal.

Fanny Bay Trading Co is a locally owned and operated gift store that specializes unique gift items that are local to Vancouver Island. The owner of the Trading Co Gilfrid Campbell has lived on Vancouver Island for over 15 years. Campbell has a great selection of one of a kind items that range from hats, t-shirts and hoodies but the big lure to the gift shop is his large selection of wood working pieces from Island artists including the boogie box.

In combination with his gift shop Campbell has a small West Coast Native Art Gallery that is attached to his gift shop. The Native Art Gallery features local Native Artists whom Campbell has known for years. The local Native Artists have been known to spend an afternoon at the Trading co doing paintings and carvings for customers on site. Campbell has many pieces that range in price from $60.00 and up. Campbell’s vast collections of pieces are some of the most unique on the Island and continually thrill customers that come to his shop.  

While enjoying the gallery be sure to stop by the Java Hut and enjoy an amazing cup of coffee or in the summertime an over the top ice cream cone!
